  Called AAA Plumbing to have them winterize waterlines in a house. Although their website blathers on about "Up Front and Fair Pricing", nobody in the office could tell us how much it would cost to winterize a one-bathroom home. Not even an "estimate". However, we were told that a home visit would be $45. Needing to get this done fast, we said "OK".
  
  The technician showed up, pulled out his iPad, and immediately quoted us a price without even going into the house. At that point it was either pay the $45 show up fee, or have him do the work. With no time to spare, we had him do the work and were charged $479 for a 45 minute task. The technician was thorough and did a good job. But the website says "No surprises, just honesty the way it should be.", which is complete BS.
  
  I won't be using AAA plumbing again.
